Her er en kort oversigt over indholdet af en skriftlig plan. Vær opmærkson på at efter de første to afsnit kan titlerne på de efterfølgende afsnit variere. Men enhver Business Plan bør dække emnerne som beskrevet i denne oversigt.

 

  • Omslaget På forsiden sætter du virksomhedens navn, addresse, telefon nummer og navn på CEO, gerne med et rimeligt design dvs med grafik, foto eller logo. Det lyder indlysende, men overraskende mange Business Planer har ikke en forside eller ihvertfald er de ikke fyldestgørende udformet. Der er ikke noget der virker mere irriterende for en bankmand eller investor end at skulle finde dit telefon nummer i en telefonbog. Vigtigt er det også hvis din Business Plan skal fordeles til flere banker eller investorer at du dedikerer hver enkelt udgave af din Business Plan til hver enkelt modtager personligt. Derved kan du også for hvert enkelt eksemplar forsikre dig fortrolighed med hensyn til hemmeligholdelse og kopiering og vidergivelse af oplysninger til tredie part. Du bør til hvert enkelt eksemplar af de udleverede Business Planer vedlægge et hemmeligholdelses aftale dokument, som skal underskrives af modtageren.

  • Indholdsfortegnelsen This should include a logical arrangement of the sections of your business plan, with page numbers.Once again, this is something that seems obvious, but many business plans are put together with content pages and no pagenumbers.

  • Ledelses resumé This is the heart of the business plan. It is so important to both the preparation and final effectivenessof the plan.

  • Virksomheden The business plan must provide basic information about the company: its past, present, and future. That is,there should be information about the company's history or, if it's a start-up, about the evolution of the market and productconcept. Information is necessary as well about the company's current status. And what is the company's future strategy?What are its goals and what actions are required to achieve its goals?

  • Markedet This is your assessment of the customer groups you've targeted, other customer groups you might pursue, thecompetition, and marketing efforts thus far. Is the market growing, how fast is it growing, and what evidence do you have thatit is interested in your product or service?

  • Producter/Service Here is where you describe your product and/or service and what makes it special and attractive.What are the components of the product/service? How much do you charge? What services don't you provide? What kind ofwarranty do you provide and what are its particular provisions?

  • Salg og Reklame This is your vurdering of how you intend to carry out your marketing plan--how you'll reach yourcustomers and sell to them. Do you have an in-house sales force or will you use manufacturer's representatives, direct mail,or contracted telemarketers to sell your product/service? What kind of public relations do you have planned? Will it be doneinternally or will you hire a public relations firm?

  • Økonomi Here is where you detail your past results, if there are any, and your expectations for the future. This sectionshould include cash flow projections, profit-and-loss statements, and balance sheets. All the figures should be cast intraditional accounting format.

 

Keep in mind. . . The order of the subjects listed here is not random; they are given in order of importance. It is no accident that information about markets comes before information about products/services. And if there is technology involved You should overveje at placere a teknologi afsnit før økonomi afsnittet.

You'll be reading lots more about the importance of marketing over and above any other single subject. As I've indicated, there's more than one way to write a business plan. Indeed, there are infinite variations on the theme. The only thing that really counts is if the plan does what it's supposed to do: sell you and others whose support you need.
